It isn't so much what you need but what you want and what you can have. Here is just a sample of Riches you will be able to experience while you are at the conference. And these are just the things planned for you by the Conference Planning Team. We won't event get into what the city has to offer yet!

BATTLE OF THE STATES

Put your game face on and get ready to battle it out. We are talking about a good old fashion Battle of the State Competition. Bring your pennies (we have a special plan for those later, shhhhh don't tell). Attend the AfterDark events, register early, stay in the Hostel and more. Participate in the 4.ninerK and get points for your state.  Get your team together now so you can compete all weekend long!

WHO'S GOT TALENT?

Region 5 that's who. Join the UNC Charlotte students for a night of poetry by The Asia Project w/ Mayhem Poets, sponsored by Campus Activities Board. Following that sing your lungs out in Karaoke Night sponsored by Niners on the Weekend.

HOSTEL

Nothing says "Conference" like a good old fashion University Hostel!  We'll about linens, showers, lockers, food, board and video games, basketball, late night snacks, and more!

The Silent Auction featuring school jerseys, autographed sports memorabilia, gift baskets, jackets, movie posters and other great items provided by members will run throughout the Region 5 conference.   You can help by donating an item or two or you can bid on items.  Here's how:

Bid early, and bid often! During the conference, items will be available for bid during the above hours.  Stop by frequently to see if your prize is being claimed by someone else—a little friendly competition never hurt!

Your donations to the auction are greatly appreciated.  Donate items now that you think your colleagues would love to take home as a prize.  Items and item sets donated to the auctions and preregistered by 5 pm October 17th will earn special premium placement.  The ACUI Region 5 Silent Auction registration is now open.

Special Items will be selected from the submissions to be part of the Region 5 Live Auction.   This is a rare occasion where our very own licensed auctioneer J. Scott Derrick will lead the Region in a faced paced and exciting Live Auction.

Getting your items to the conference is easy 

SHIPPING:  If you’d like to donate but will not be able to be at the conference (or you just don’t want to lug donations with you on your trip), you can send your item(s) to UNC Charlotte in advance.   Please ship items to arrive no later than Wednesday, October 19.  Please ship to:  ACUI Region 5 Conference, UNC Charlotte Student Union, 9201 University City Bl, Charlotte, NC 28223

ON SITE DELIVERY: If you are bringing your items to the conference, please bring them to the Silent Auction Room (SU200) after you have registered.



ALL proceeds from the auctions go to the ACUI Education & Research Fund for scholarships to ACUI educational programs.
